City law firm choose Bowland Solutions to create an on-line Partner Peer Review system

As a way of enhancing its annual partner review process, Watson, Farley & Williams have enlisted the help of Bowland Solutions to create a bespoke on-line review system.

The web-based system enables partners to get feedback on their performance from fellow partners and other colleagues within the firm.

Starting from first principles, a capability framework was jointly devised to reflect the behaviours deemed important to the ongoing success of the firm.

From this, a question set was created that asks respondents to rate the performance of the partners in these areas, thereby providing a more well rounded view to help them in developing their skills for the future.

The solution has been tailored to Watson, Farley & Williams’s specific needs, incorporating the firm’s own ‘look & feel’ and offering a simple suite of administration functions.

The Human Resources department can create and send invitation emails, monitor progress of completed questionnaires and view the reports which are dynamically generated, all within the system.

Once all respondents have completed their questionnaire, each partner has a debrief session to go through the report and highlight strengths, as well as note areas for improvement in advance of the annual partner performance review.
