The MCPS-PRS Alliance, home to the world's best music writers, composers and publishers, worked with Bowland Solutions to design a new competency framework which will be used to help create targeted development plans for all staff.

The ‘Alliance Qualities Framework’ (AQF) will provide a clear and concise method by which individuals can assess their strengths and areas in which they would like to develop.
Beginning from first principles, the AQF has been designed to reflect those competencies which are deemed important to the sustained success of the business and which will support the organisations goals going forward.
Each quality will be defined by a set of observable behaviours against which individuals can be evaluated; this will enable line managers to be able to work with the individual to create a Personal Development Plan unique to them.

The MCPS-PRS Alliance is a not-for-profit making membership organisation that was formed in 1997 between two royalty collection societies (MCPS and PRS). It exists to collect and pay royalties to its members when their music is recorded and made available to the public (MCPS); and when their music is performed, broadcast or otherwise made publicly available (PRS).
