GlaxoSmithKline use on-line pre-conference survey to obtain valuable feedback from employees on key issues to be addressed.
London, U.K., August 2006
As a means of obtaining crucial feedback from all team members within the Respiratory MDC Division prior to their annual conference, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) commissioned their training & development partner, Merriweather, to create a survey tool.
With the conference rapidly approaching, Merriweather worked with their colleagues at Bowland Solutions to build an on-line survey, which could turn around the distribution of questionnaires, monitor completion and produce report data within 1 week.
In conjunction with building the system, there was the initial investigation within GSK, design of the questions & questionnaires and an analysis of the results.
Bowland Solutions were able to meet the deadline and offer Merriweather the feedback with an analysis, which was then presented at the event and helped to stimulate discussion, debate and action plans on key issues facing the division.
John Rice, Sales & Marketing Director, comments, “What makes projects like this interesting, is not just the technology involved, but in working with an organisation that really values the input of everyone in the team and in seeing clear messages emerge from the responses given – it is a great way to steer a conference and ensure that it has maximum impact and relevance to all involved.”
