With a presentation entitled, "JCB: How we use effective Performance Management & 360 Degree Feedback to develop our employees", Paul Pritchard, Head of Learning & Development, outlined what JCB considered to be the factors of success in conducting appraisals in a large manufacturing organisation.

Having posed the question in our 'Legal Week' article as to whether 360 degree feedback would be appropriate in law firms where partnership was sought through patronage, we are pleased to say that one of our clients is illuminating the way.
Watson, Farley & Williams is a leading international law firm with offices in major financial centres in Europe, Asia and the USA. As a way of enhancing their annual partner review process, they have enlisted our help to create a bespoke on-line review system.
Starting from first principles, a capability framework was jointly devised to reflect the behaviours deemed important to the ongoing success of the firm.

Our clients will know that we donate 1% of our revenue to good causes nominated by themselves.
This month we are highlighting a charity selected by one of our most valued clients, Virgin Retail, who have an independent charitable arm known as 'Virgin Unite'.
It is fully funded and supported by the group, ensuring all donations go directly to the front line and make real change happen. Unite was created by Richard Branson and Virgin employees around the world to harness Virgin's people, resources and energy to make a real difference. Through their Unite partners - amazing, grass roots charitable organisations doing innovative work in the social sector, they hope to help develop long term and sustainable approaches to forgotten and overlooked social and environmental issues.
